Juventus Turn Down Southampton Bid Saturday, 9th Jan 2016 10:22 Saints have reportably had an offer of 17 million Euros turned down by Italian giants Juventus for midfielder Stefano Sturaro. Saints are being reported as having joined Crystal Palace and West Ham United in having bids turned down by Juventus for their tenacious midfield player Stefano Sturaro. The 22 year old is highly rated by Juventus and their coach Massimiliano Allegri, but although he has had a lot of game time this season starting 13 games so far plus another 4 off the bench in Serie A he is not considered a true first choice for the starting line up. He started his career at Genoa and after a spell on loan at Modena in Serie B he established himself in the Genoa squad leading Juventus to pay 5.5 million Euros plus bonus's in the summer of 2014. Part of the agreement was he would return to Genoa on loan for the 2014/15 season and this he did before being recalled to the Juventus squad in February 2015 soon making hs debut and putting in some iprsive performances. Juventus have said that they do not want to lose him and he is not for sale, but given that the offers already on the table are already around 3 times what they paid for him a little over 18 months ago, a higher offer might tempt them to sell.
