Fraser Forster Pledges Loyalty To Saints Thursday, 28th Apr 2016 13:00 With rumours of Chelsea about to make a bid for his services, Fraser Forster has spoken of his love of playing for Saints and that a move is the last thing on his mind. Fraser Forster has baulked the trend of Saints stars linked with other clubs by publicly speaking out about rumours about an impending Chelsea bid by confirming that although he is flattered his focus is on Saints and then England with the summer European Championships looming. "I think it is a compliment in many ways because if you are being linked with teams then you are obviously doing the right things. "I have two years left on my contract at Southampton and I have loved my time here. I can't thank the club enough for the way they have stood by me when I was injured. "I'm just concentrating on the day-to-day business here at the club and then hopefully I can have a good summer with England." This is in contrast with the behaviour of some then Saints players in the summer of 2014 who despite heading for the WorldCup in Brazil chose to make public displays of petulance rather than concentrate on their country. Of course in the grand scheme of things Forster's proclamation could mean nothing, Saints could feel that the fee that Chelsea might offer could be too good to resist and decide to cash in, but it is good that Forster has spoken out, something than none of our other players linked with other clubs over the past two years have seemed keen to do.
