Leicester Want Wanyama Friday, 29th Apr 2016 08:15 Leicester City are now finding out that being successful, you are going to be linked with every player going, both on an in and out direction. It's a double whammy for Leicester City this morning, on a negative side N’golo Kante looks set to leave the King Power this summer with several news sources stating that the Foxes are willing to let him go as long as they can sign a replacement, on a plus side for Leicester and a negative one for us, apparently the man they want to replace him is Victor Wanyama. Why Kante would want to leave Leicester at this particular time is strange, with the Foxes on the verge of a Premier League title and already guaranteed of a Champions League spot nest season, what could he get elsewhere that he could not get at Leicester ? The answer is of course big money and the fact that he wants to leave perhaps shows all that is wrong with football at the moment, players think that the grass is always greener or more to the point the money. Any Saints fan thinking that it was the club at fault for the departure of so many star players from St Mary's in the past two summers need only look at Leicester as to why that happened, to be blunt if Leicester City as Premier League champions elect and with guaranteed Champions League football cannot keep a player like Kante then it proves that for all the bluster about wanting big stages and Champions league football, that we hear time and time again from footballers trying to wriggle out of long term contracts when a so called big club comes calling is absolute rubbish. Its all about money, always has been in football always will be. The bad news for Saints though is that Leicester want Victor Wanyama to replace Kante and it will be interesting what the Kenyan thinks of this, it will test his resolve as to why he seems to want to leave St Mary's, is if for glory or is it for money ?
