No Fresh Injury Concerns Ahead Of Palace Game
Thursday, 1st Dec 2016 13:48

Claude Puel has confirmed that Saints have no new injury problems ahead of the trip to Selhurst Park.

Claude Puel has been pleased to report at this afternoons press conference that none of the squad up at Arsenal have suffered any injuries or knocks and will all be fit to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The only two squad members who will not be in contention are Matt Targett who is still injured and Dusan Tadic who is yet to return to training after suffering a broken nose.

Puel said: “For this moment Tadić is not available for this game. I don’t when he will come back with the squad to play.

“With the training sessions he could come back today or tomorrow but he has stayed three weeks without training session or games.

“It’s important he can do good work now to come back fit and we will see with him and the staff.

“We want him to come back at a good physical level to play a strong game with us.

“He will wear a mask, but it’s a beautiful mask!”

This being the case Puel has some selection headaches with a virtual fit squad and the likes of Josh Sims, Sam McQueen and Harrison Reed all staking their claims for at least a place on the bench.

All in all Saints should have plenty of options in all areas and feel confident of returning from London with all three points.

Harry Reed went off injured last night, after having a good game. I am assuming that he is fit to be in the squad, as nothing been said.
