Tadic May Return Against Happoel Be'er Sheva
Thursday, 8th Dec 2016 09:40

Dusan Tadic could play some part in this evening's match against Happoel Be'er Sheva in the Europa League accoring to Claude Puel.

Saints boss Claude Puel has revealed that Dusan Tadic has been taking part in training using a protective mask and that he will be assessed today to see whether he is fit enough to play some part.

Certainly Saints could do with Tadic's guile on the pitch, since he was injured on International duty for Serbia in early November the team have lacked that creative spark that Tadic brings to the team.

It is no coincidence that Saints have struggled to create clear cut chances since Tadic's enforced absence and that is down to the fact that the Serbian has one of the highest number of assists since his arrival at St Mary's not just for Saints but in the entire Premier League.

Tadic was unable to train for three weeks after the injury to his nose and it was so severe that it bled for 14 days after he sustained it against Wales.

Now he is back and raring to go although if he is able to play he will need to wear a protective mask and that in itself needs to be passed as suitable by the match referee.

The likelihood is that Tadic will be named on the bench and held in reserve and used only if the situation dictates.
