Nathan Redmond On Premier League Player Of The Month Shortlist Friday, 24th Mar 2017 13:55 Nathan Redmond is on the Premier League's shortlist for their player of the month for March and you can vote for him now. It is a surprise that Nathan Redond is on this shortlist, after all he has only played twice in the premier League in March due to Saints lack of fixtures, however he had a man of the match performance against Watford as well as a decent game against Spurs topped by his full England debut only a couple of days ago, Now he is up against five other candidates for the honour including ex Saints goalkeeper Artur Boruc who is nominated mainly due to a great performance when a ten man Bournemouth team fought a rearguard action up at Old Trafford to earn a draw. Ironically Boruc would be the first keeper to win the award since our own Fraser Forster did so in February last season. Boruc's team mate Joshua King is also on the list alongside Romalu Lukaku of Everton, one time Saints target Mamadou Sakho on loan at Palace and finally Georginio Wijnnaldum of Liverpool. The award sponsored by EA SPORTS is decided by a combination of a public vote via premierleague.com, counting for 10%, and those from a panel of Premier League experts and current club captains.
