Lander Sports Reported To Be Celebrating Saints Takeover
Thursday, 8th Jun 2017 21:54

Alexander Jarvis a British Financier specialising in setting up investments in British football clubs from Chinese companies has tweeted that Lander Sports are celebrating tonight.

Jarvis is telling the World that Lander Sports will announce tomorrow that their purchase of a controlling stake in SFC will be announced tomorrow.

At 9.30pm Jarvis tweeted.

"Another Chinese owned football club in the English Premier League from tomorrow. Surely more to come. #LanderSports #SouthamptonFC "

In reply to questions about his sources he replied.

"For all those asking about the source of this information. Sources: Lander Sports and their M&A advisers. Official announcement tomorrow."

"News from Hangzhou - Lander & their advisers are all ready celebrating and have announced via WeChat. The Gao family's face 丢脸 is at stake. "

Jarvis would certainly be the person in the know for this deal, so Saints fans wait with interest on tomorrows news which could accelerate the managerial situation at St Mary's

Congratulations to Kat for making a very easy £200 million.

Ditto Cortese. This news saddens me to be honest. If supporters felt Puel was a bit distant and was hard to warm to, I'm not sure how they feel investors from even further afield will be any better a fit. I'm genuinely concerned our recent golden era is under threat.

Dirk, can't help but disagree. Put yourself in her shoes. She's not doing this for love or for gain, this was forced on her. She's respectfully taken on custody of the club in her late father's name. She's at the mercy to thousands of hungry fans desperate to spend her own money. However she's delivered record league finishes, Europe and a cup final by finding a sustainable approach. And now she wants out. You can't blame her. She should have our thanks.

Plus I genuinely think that Kat and her advisors think this is a positive move for the club, not necessarily because it's the only offer.

As she is currently being investigated for tax fraud by the German authorities, I doubt she is very interested in what is best for fans of a football club.

which is why she is selling the club to a very dodgy new owner, regardless of what is best for the club. Hopefully, the PL will show some balls and stop her.

Dirk, how to deliberately misrepresent sources mething in full glory, well done. The German tax authorities are reviewing previous years of tax declarations made by Markus as he may have spent longer there than was actually the case. This has nothing to do with her, although as recipient of his inheritance she will be liable. That is all. With the likes of you around, I'm not surprised she's looking to sell.

*than declared, not "actually the case"

Yeah as Wandering says that really is a case of adding random facts together. We know little of what the tax case is about and know the deal with Lander has been on the cards for some time, so unlikely linked. Trashing the name of our saviour doesn't feel very appropriate.

This is lost on me Nick, I really don't understand what Lander are celebrating. If it's taking the club forward into a new era with investment in players, facilities and fan base that's good by me, on the other hand if they are celebrating an asset stripping binge and financial gain at the expense of the club then I'm already concerned. Hopefully, it's the former but I can't get the adage starting "if it seems too good to be true......" out of my head. I want to be wrong.

Come on Dirk, stop trying to mould the 'facts' to suit your well known myopic and jaundiced take on Kat and her intentions. It's getting boring.

Well dirk, I agree with you if nobody else does. A couple of hundred million will do very nicely thank you when the fine and tax bill comes in.

Surely nobody on here seriously thinks Leibherr is in it for the football? What a romantically nonsensical old-fashioned point of view to take. Her Dad yes, this lady, no way! People are hoodwinked simply because they judge other people by their own moral compass. Greed is in all of us but most don't get the chance!

Echo reporting it's not done yet, only that the prospective buyers passed the "fit and proper" test of the FA (there's irony for you!).

SaintBrock, yes her Dad liked owning the club, but only after he bought it. Remember he wasn't looking to get into football until Cortese recommended us as a good investment since they could snap up the club and facilities for practically nothing.

Just had a weird thought.......what if after the Chinese take over they appoint Cortese to run it??? Anyone know what he is doing these days?? Only recent stuff I could find on Google was him wishing us luck in the League Cup final.
