Ralph Calls For Crowd To Be Up For It Again
Friday, 5th Apr 2019 09:30

Ralph Hasenhuttl has appealed to the Saints supporters to bring repeat the support they have shown in the last two games for tonight's game against Liverpool.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has developed a bond with Saints supporters that has been lacking since Ronald Koeman left the club three years ago and he is fast becoming our most popular manager in many a decade.

The fans love him because they can see he cares about what he does, he embraces the club, it's ethos and most importantly it's supporters, they can see he is for real and is passionate and now the Austrian is calling for Saints fans to show their passion as they have done at Brighton last week and in the win over Tottenham a month ago in the last home game.

There is a definite change in mindset in the supporters over the last six weeks and they have warmed to Hasenhuttl and feel that the club is heading in the right direction again after a period of losing it's way.

But Hasenhuttl knows that he can't do it all by himself and that as much as he needs the players to be inspired by him, he also needs them to be inspired by the crowd and he knows what atmosphere that needs to be in this evening :

"Not a big different one to the last games," he said. "Against Tottenham, they also had a very good feeling what the team needed in what moments.

"In the first half, when we were not really doing well, they were calm and patient and they knew exactly we were waiting for this moment where we can put our stamp on the game, and this moment will come also against Liverpool.

"They will have a good feeling to support us in the right moments, I'm sure."

Ralph Hasenhuttl has worn his heart on his sleeve since arriving at St Mary's he has now changed a toxic atmosphere around the club into one of positivity again, whatever the result tonight we move forward, Saints fans take much pleasure in sating Liverpool supporters, hopefully this evening they aren't going to let the visitors out sing them, but show them that atmosphere is not just unique to Anfield, but St Mary's as well.

Everybody supports the team in different ways, not everyone wants to stand up and sing their hearts out, but we need positivity from everyone and that means encouraging the side as we have done in recent games.

Any Saints’ fan who isn’t up for this one needs their head read! Let’s just hope the players are on their game and we don’t get poor officials..

Saints are up for it, and the fans certainly are , if only for the chance to see us "dump" all those ex-Saints who are presently on Liverpool's payroll.

Both managers desperately want to win (although for different reasons), and I'm wondering if Jurgen Klopp (or the German Ralph Hasenhuttl - as he is sometimes known) isn't just a little worried as he knows that "on their day " Saints can raise their game and maybe blunt Liverpools title hopes, so let's see a good game tonight..... COYR !
