Danso Signing To Be Announced In The Morning Thursday, 8th Aug 2019 22:50 According to media reports the signing of Kevin Danso from Augsburg will officially be announced by Saints in the morning. A late bid for Augsburg's Kevin Danso saw Saints put in a n extension application beyond the 5pm deadline, since then it has been silence, but various journalists close to both the club and player have claimed that the deal has gone through Ok and that the signing will officially be announced in the morning. Danso who will turn 21 in September although born in Austria of Ghanian parents moved to England at the age of 6 and was on MK Dons books before moving back to Austria at age 14 and joining Augsburg, he broke in their first team 3 years ago and has also been capped by Austria at full level playing 6 times since his debut in 2017. At 6ft 3 he can play as either a defensive midfielder or central defender although it is believed that Ralph Hasenhuttl sees his best position in the centre of defence. Adam Blackmore of Radio Solent tweeted to say. #saintsfc have effectively signed Kevin Danso from Augsburg. All paperwork done in time and correctly The hold up publicly has been because Augsburg will not agree to announce until all clearances have been given by relevant football bodies Should be tomorrow !! So it seems the deal is done and dusted, which is good news for Saints fans and although Danso is relativey young he has good experience for his age so hopefully can step straight into first team contention, although that might not be for a week or two yet. Whether this will see one of our other central defensive options now leave the club remains to be seen, although his arrival might pave the way for Wesley Hoedt to move back to a club in Europe.
