This whole transfer malarkey

Like a lot of Swans fans, I've spent much of this summer hiding from all the transfer rumours circling like vultures around the Liberty. Michu's gone, Pablo is all but gone, I could've cried when I found out about this Ben Davies to Spurs business and now it looks like Vorm's finally joined the queue for the exit door. Funny how we're losing the players we want but don't seem to be able to shift those surplus to requirements. Frustrating right? But we need to look towards the positives of what's going on.

Sure, teams seem to be coming together to strip our beloved club for parts, but every cloud has a silver lining. With no Vorm, we're left with Fabianski as our probable starting keeper; but let's be honest, that probably would've happened anyway. Vorm's been below par for much of the last two seasons, I'd happily take money for him and receive a free FA cup winning goalie in return. I think having the big Pole between the sticks will be reliable for the team and he's definitely gonna be motivated after spending years as backup at Arsenal.

Next up is Ben Davies, it took me a while to find positives from this but right now I could probably think of 10 million. The lad came through the youth system, therefore that's literally £10 million of profit. Taylor is a more than reliable replacement for the 21 year old and who knows, he may even turn out like Joe Allen, which can only be good for us.

Michu's gone. Oh well. Last season he was frequently injured and after Laudrup's departure he threw his toys out the pram, but you all know that. If we do happen to get the almighty Gylfi back, I think we'll be much better off than if we kept the lanky Spaniard, if Napoli are willing to pay £8 million come the end of next season then there may well just be a God. Next.

Bony. Where do we stand on Bony? I think this is the one player who would cause huge devastation by leaving. All summer it's been Arsenal, then Spurs, then Liverpool, then Spurs again; but nobody seems to want to cough up £20 million. Good. If we lose him, I really think it will be a relegation battle for us, he almost single handedly pulled us up the table at the back end of last season with his goals and without him we'll be royally screwed. Personally, I don't think Gomis is all that and he's definitely not a starting striker for us, I do hope we see Rory Donelly getting a chance throughout the season but other than that, Bony is our man. The worst that occurs if he leaves is that we receive a tonne of money for him, so look on the bright side.

There's also the players we're linked with to look forward to, Jefferson Montero seems to be having the longest medical in the history of football, but that'll hopefully come through, and what's even more exciting is that we've reportedly had a bid for Dmitri Payet accepted. That's a huge one in my opinion, I've seen him play a few times and he often causes trouble for defenders. Him alongside Routledge or Dyer would be severely dangerous with the big Ivorian to accompany them up top. I think we need to die down De Guzman or at the very least get him in on loan for a third season; we definitely need a central midfielder along with a centre half - although I would love to see Kyle Bartley fight his way into the first team. Also a right back, Rangel has been incredible for us for the last half decade but unfortunately he won't last forever and this may well be his last season as a starter, if we could get a right back in for rotational purposes (nevermind Tiendalli, he's almost useless) then we'll be good to go come Man United in a few weeks.

I think if this happens we can have a much better season than last year. Onwards and upwards.
