It's amazing the amount of hype that attaches itself to some players who've been here before. Had Gomez not played for us in the past the idea of him being a serious target for us would be absolutely laughable, yet I don't doubt for a second that plenty would love to see him in a Swans shirt again.

Even had Martinez not chosen to join Wigan long before pretending that he still actually had a decision to make, Gomez would have cost more than three times our previous transfer record and the club simply did not have that kind of money at the time, a fact Martinez would have been more than aware of.
Can we stop pretending as a collective that Gomez had absolutely anything to do with El Greaseball's departure now please? | |
