Regarding your first sentence, we must remember that it's your job to be aware of what's going on.

I once had a brief flirtation with putting T2C on ignore during one his more prolific periods on the old forum but it lasted about a day because my curiosity kept getting the better of me and I kept clicking on his damn posts anyway.
