Do civil rights apply only to those who have "nothing to hide," or do we protect the rights of everyone.
Do we guarantee a fair trial and adequate legal representation to the guilty only?
Truly, "not having anything to hide" still does not make totally-immersed data-gathering right.

I think he revelled some terrible terrible things that the U.S.A Military has done over the years. I remember watching leaked videos of soldiers laughing and joking as they controlled and fired missiles from drones at what appear to be innocent people on the ground. I'm sure there was much worse stuff too that I/we haven't seen/read.
But I also think what he did endangered my life and the life of my family so I hope he gets his fair trial, is found guilty and punished accordingly. |  |

Very true. I'm not trying to condone what he did. I think it was very dangerous. Wasn't there hundreds of thousands of classified documents he released? I doubt he had read through every single one himself, he couldn't possibly know that the information / knowledge he leaked wouldn't come back and harm innocent Americans and it's allies. | |
