The world may have had been much more peaceful without religion, in human history. [Post edited 30 Jul 2014 16:01]

Israel/palestine is also a lot to do with history, and the displacement of both peoples, and both being given the same state, than religion. religion is just a scapegoat for the terrorist actions (on both sides of the conflict)-- the whole jihadist movement and that. But I don't think it'd be that much more friendly with or without religion. They just need to be properly split up like errant children like Korea and Japan heh. | |

Any other atheists here? ... or am I the only one bound to hell? :) (n/t) on 22:24 - Jul 30 by JackoBoostardo | Northern Ireland is currently split between Catholic and Protestants! Iraq is being ravaged by Muslim extremists who are killing those who are non-Muslim. We are currently at war with global Muslim extremism. The whole muslim world appears to hate the Jews. and so on, and so on!.... [Post edited 30 Jul 2014 22:27]

Muslims killing non Muslims in Iraq? Probably. But the whole point is that this is a proxy war between Shi'ite Iran , Saudi and the other Sunni gulf states. Isis is their knife to carve up Iraq. And if you really think that the whole NI problem is all about religion you are sadly mistaken. It started off as a landgrab by James 1st (plantation was his term) and while he professed Protestantism he had an open mind being Baptized RC by his mother Mary Queen of Scots. They stole the lands of Irish nobles who had gone to seek the protection of King Felipe of Spain. In recent times drugs, gun running and money laundering were done under the cover of a religious war, yes. [Post edited 31 Jul 2014 13:42]
