Agreed. 'Arry seems to have reined in his desire to sign high-priced mercenaries so far. Rio may be in his career twilight, but he's always seemed a committed pro and he should teach Caulker a lot.

If he was that good these days, Atletico Mineiro would hardly have let him go. The excellent Tim Vickery thinks he'd be a terrible signing for QPR. Expect him to end up in USA or some other moneybags semi-retirement league. Qatar maybe. | |
