The only positions open to debate in my mind are the two midfield slots currently occupied by Ki and Shelvey. Having said that, I wouldn't mind betting we could see any or all of Gomis, Montero and Fernandez on as subs in the last 30 minutes.

As far as Ki and Shelvey are concerned, there can't be much doubt they will start, given the lack of viable alternatives. What sort of message would it send out to either if they were dropped to allow Carroll to make his Premier League debut? Not gonna happen.
