The hardest part of flying a plane (according to a pilot I used to know) is the takeoff and landing. The planes were already in the air when seized. The landing wasn't an issue.

No, but with a modicum of training you can.
I went in a full B747 simulator once. With some direction from an instructor, I manually lined up onto LHR, with auto-throttle on, and landed it safely on the centre line. First time. Piece of piss.
Follow the Hudson down to manhattan and hit the tallest building you can see. You don't need a huge amount of training for that. |  | | |

It's perpetual though Perch isn't it? We invade and bomb middle eastern countries stirring up a hornets nest and destabilising an entire region, this then creates it's own issues and we're 'forced' into re-invading and bombing said countries thus further provoking the people of said region. We're simply repeating the things that caused the issues in the first place and therefore creating a whole now generation of people who hate the west.
Most people would love there to be no war, yet we counter violence with more violence. It's impossible to stop isnt it?
On the subject of 9/11, it's not even a conspiracy theory anymore.
