Interesting looking at the Swans Trust Board Meeting : Stadium expansion. Club Board considering Debentures over a 3/5 year period I know it's been mooted by fans but I wasn't sure whether the club was looking at it as a possibility [Post edited 1 Oct 2014 19:57]

Because they can't alter the stadium structurally, and therefore initial construction work won't affect the current stand, I would guess that the work would start nearer January so that it is ready by August following | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It seems crazy that at this point they are still in the feasibility study stage - as illustrated by the "There will be initiatives soon linked to season ticket holders, sponsors and partners to see if they would like to take seats in stadium" comment Hell man, everyone knows there is demand for at least a few thousand seats - crack on and build it! I'd quite happily be the first to by a debenture if it helps (at a discount of course!)

I think he might be doing that conversion halfway down Skewen New Road on the right hand side (used to be a newsagents) Did the first part about a year ago and then stopped Hope Huw doesn't give him the job!

It's like they're teetering on the edge of a leap of faith. They want a 100% cast iron guarantee that the expansion will be filled and they're not going to get it. Just build it.

The biggest feck up they ever made was to not have an official waiting list for season tickets during that summer when we got promotion, if you want to join the waiting list you say for how many seats next to each other in what stand and put down a non refundable deposit which comes off the total of the ticket when you eventually get one. The amount of time and effort they have wasted on pointless fans surveys and they still have no idea what the demand really is People say the demand is there for x amount of seats but lets be honest nobody really has a clue.
Trust Forum on 21:04 - Oct 1 with 3161 views | j01 | shame they can't bring in safe standing areas as this would get the capacity up and be a lot cheaper than building an extension and if we didn't sell out you wouldn't be looking at empty seats either if demand is still there after doing that then think about the extension just a thought like [Post edited 1 Oct 2014 21:06]

The structural design and approvals was done a fair time ago. So if we're to go ahead in Spring 2015, the steel would have to be under order now. Lead times can be longish.
