There is getting behind your team and then there is Booing the ref all the time, appealing for anything and everything, jeering the opposition players. I know this is done all over the football league but they take it to another level.

Never known a crowd to appeal for everything from a throwing to a penalty. Brittania is not only a difficult place for opposition to go but also for referee's................the ref fell for all the fans antics to easily in my eyes.

After a moment's bravery he pansed it thereafter.

You've got today, good on them.

The Liberty goes the opposite way so maybe if you can't beat them, join them.

It does fit with their ethos though. Shout, harass, intimidate, badger the ref - regardless of truth.

Maybe their fans have a culture of respect for the singers like in Germany and not constantly call them chavs, knuckle-daggers, childish, ultras or mock everything they sing?

Not aimed specifically at you Union Jack.

It also raises the players energy levels as well and demoralizes the opponents'.

We need more noise at home. Look how Crystal a Palace have done. Replay their season last year with no crowd noise and they'd be playing Cardiff this year.

Stoke fans have been terrible the 3 times i've been there, shocking today, no backing the team just whining and moaning everytime the ref had to make a decision (and when he didn't). the songs I heard were delilha (which we sang better) and the referees a w*anker (which was laughable coz he had just gifted them a pen).

I say every time I go I say that I wont go back, the most soulless, quiet, cold lifeless stadium in the division.

How can you call them shocking when they very likely played a huge part in them getting back into and winning the game?

Do you think Oliver would have awarded that second penalty if the stadium was silent after Wilf had converted his?

He was under pressure from relentless home fans to even it up and he gave in.

Maybe we could learn something from these teams.

I'm not sure it works though. The whole ground was baying for the ref's blood against S'ton, but it didn't really help us.

Both. I kept getting very annoyed watching Charlie Adam talking alone with Oliver numeros times throughout the match. I wish we had a player like him who isn't afraid to get in the officials ear.

Ash tends to run at the referee screaming and waving his arms about.

He needs to learn from the likes of Terry and Adam who politely talk to the referee.
