It took Leon 10 years or however long it was to be good enough for this league.
We've loaned Carroll who isn't ready for this league and come May he won't even be our player.
There's a difference between being patient with your own players and with those you've loaned for a season. Any reward will be Tottenham's. |
Leon had no idea he would stay here either.
He has also been player of the season umpteen times, our type of football suits him and who's to know whether we have another Leon in our squad, and whether he decides Swansea is the place he wants to be?

Yes he dropped down from the top league to the bottom league because he wasn't good enough.
Tom Carroll hasn't dropped any leagues. He's still in the same league his parent club deemed him not good enough for currently.
Leon improved our squad back then, Tom does not currently. |
The point being you never know what's around the corner. It is possible that he's here with a view to a permanent if it suits all parties.

Pabs is another one! Excellent one minute and crap the next. What is it about you and unpredictable players?  Agreed though - Pabs was sublime to watch at times. Despite all their foibles, that Laudrup team at it's best gave us some very entertaining football. The 3-1 win over WBA in his first season still goes down as the best performance I have ever seen live. I loved the cup win up in Anfield too. Now there's a challenge for this current team - to go and replicate that next week. | | | |

WBA first half was exceptional to watch and atmosphere electric at the Liverpool COC game
Glad you didn't mention the pre COC Liverpool, quite enjoyed W.Ham compared with that and travelled to both
Great game at Liverpool under Monk - showed real resilience there when we kept coming back
