Was going to raise with Phil - amusing at first but just stupid now as some of my posts are down voted the moment they are posted by Dailew and regardless of how innocuous or positive they are. Given they hang around here nearly all the time ready to pounce immediately it must be a duplicate account. Perhaps one of the people who complained when Phil decided to take away the anonymity of the arrows (which is when it started).
Perhaps Phil should remove the down arrows, but should certainly stop if it is a duplicate account - by IP.
Some of my family - spratty2 - spratty999 do not like it and are thinking of doing a similar thing to the posters we disagree with if it is seen as acceptable.

Not really. I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me. Arrows just seem a snidy way of doing it. I'd rather hear someone's reasoning. I can understand the up arrow, when you want to convey you agree with a point completely and have nothing more to add. If you disagree with something completely, why not say why? | | | |

I occasionally use both.
If I down arrow its to show disagreement with the post as I often don't feel compelled enough to post. I'm often logged on here and happy just to read what others post, without contributing myself. No one has ever challenged my down arrow but I think you're right, if anyone ever posted at me asking for an explanation of my arrow I'd feel compelled to reply. Maybe that's the appropriate response as if anyone doesn't come forward to reply when challenged it rather negates their opinion.

Very much to Dailew who is ready to pounce at all times like an obsessive gardener on their weeds.
As for me it is a bit of a nuisance in case it is one of the posters whom I respect for their objectiveness and common sense making a serious judgement on a post, which I could miss thinking it is DaiLew again.
