Maybe the whole thing was set up to pull a fast one on Napoli to pay his wages for a year, while we know he was a crock? I tend to think not as Monk seemed to want to convince him to stay. Yesterday monk went on to say:
"Michu made his decision in the summer that he wanted to go and try a different challenge, which I supported fully.
"I've got a great relationship with Michu, I'll always be supportive with him. He's still our player.
"But in terms of this season, I'm dealing with the players that I have now."

So it seems all this talk of him being difficult is a bit off the mark with Monk. Regardless of all these rumors, the fact remains that he is a Napoli player for this year, crock or not, but he will be ours again next year, so we need to hope he recovers from Injury and is either available or salable next year as I doubt Napoli are going to keep him. | |

He's had three operations so far.We have had people on here wondering about his commitment last year.Poor guy must have been playing through the pain barrier.
Hope he makes a full recovery.He is still our player after all. |

Yes they do. Although some people on this thread seem to think that Napoli just didn't bother and we tricked them into loaning a crock for a season! Unbelievable!

I dont know if its true with michu but imo scfc should be paying for the best t reatment money can buy, its asset protection at the end of the day, im sure they have learnt the lessons from bodde. |

Garry wanted to keep him, he wanted to move on. I was actually surprised Garry wanted to keep him given Michu's obvious ongoing fitness issues since over a year ago. But Garry knew what an exceptional player he could be for us and presumably hoped to return him to that. It can be no surprise that Garry did not recently want him back given his still clearly apparant fitness issues. | | | |
