Renaming the Stadium 18:12 - Jan 28 with 5193 viewsswanskid95

If we did buy the stadium, am I correct in saying that we could rename it to what we want?

Not saying I would change the name, but its a possibility, and curious to know what Huw and the rest of the board would call the stadium.

If, or is when, our new prospective benefactors arrive put money it will be totally down to them. The team now, that's a completely different thing all altogether the Swansea Sentinels or something yanksville within weeks of them taking over, oops, I meant arriving.

Poll: Is there any way for Lee Trundle to play in this squad?

I'd like to see it called 'The Joe's Ice Cream Stadium', with an extra payment every time we have Sundae football!

Hopefully his sale funds it, unless all spent by then.

Council have asked the Swans if they'd be interested in buying stadium, Swans will only purchase if numbers stack up, naming rights will help those figures work.

My guess is that we are on a contract with Liberty (whoever they are) and if we sign a new contract with MacDonalds or whoever, then that's got to be honoured, no matter who owns the stadium.
The only chance we have is to buy the stadium before the naming rights are sold again.

Brian Burford.
I played rugby with his kid brother Will, who was killed whilst at university, clowning around and falling from a height, after a pissup.
Very sad really.
RIP.

This is definitely the way to go i think. Don't know the exact figures or time scale of any payments, but let's say £27 million over ten years = £2.7 million P/A, with stadium naming rights and a few concerts in the summers that figure of £2.7 million P/A would be easily affordable.
