Before this thread goes off on the wrong tangent again, I ll railroad it...
Yes brilliant album from Paul Young and very memorable because it only contains THE BEST FREAKIN BASS LINE IN THE HISTORY OF POPULAR MUSIC IMHO.... this track inspired me to become a bass player,I even went out and bought a fretless bass at the time and still have it.still use it on gigs...
..the wonderful PINO PALADINO''' shame hes from Cardiff but a really nice bloke....

PROUD RECIPIENT OF THE THIRD PLANET SWANS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
"Per ardua ad astra"
that particular song was so relevant to me at that time in my life, funny how music can bring back emotions. Didn't stop playing the album for a year.
So for me it wasn't fluffy eightees.
I thought Rumours was 70's though I was even more mixed up then playing Fleetwood mac and the pistols depending on the mood.
On a different note I went to see slipknot and korn on the weekend, ive been to metal concerts and dance ravy things in the past, but never have I been to such and insane gig.
pure madness, of course I took my offspring with me.

as a way of tying this thread together with football, when Stevie Wonder played at the Vetch, Pino Paladino was sitting next to me. Paul Young was massive at that point so as a bunch of 17 year old girls it was pretty exciting !!
It was my favourite album at the time and reminded me of my life back then. L must have moved about 10 times in the mid eighties. I still have the original album but no record player for it to sit on :(
