YES, well as those of you who know me will have twigged there was a reason for this OP anyway, many of this site luminaries wont have been a tadpole when No Parlez came out..

Still, some pleasant posts which was also the main thrust of this.

as a way of tying this thread together with football, when Stevie Wonder played at the Vetch, Pino Paladino was sitting next to me. Paul Young was massive at that point so as a bunch of 17 year old girls it was pretty exciting !!

That was about 86? Always wished I d gone to that one...met him tiwce briefly Pino his mam and dad still live in Whitchurch cardiff some kind of cafe.. yeah Paul Young was HUGE in mid 80s especially among young ladies and teenagers...still remember my sisters room full of posters....

1984.

Brilliant concert - Stevie Wonder is a genius - still remains one of the best concerts I've been to.
And yes - I remember the posters well (alongside Marti Pellow, George Michael and the Kemp brothers) :-)

I was on the pitch and some fecker behind me kept running ... Until I stopped.
He sent me flying whilst he sort of ran over me.
I felt I was tackled by Costa.
