Its One Day Cricket you big Jessy, Boycott needed to bat 3 days to get to his 50 ffs.

At least England could have batted out their 50 overs. Boycott on 10 not out, and Root would have had a partner, so he could have gone on to make 100

England v Scotland today

I apologise to the England cricket supporters here, but come on, it would be funny if Scotland won, wouldn’t it?

They've got no chance on the Aussie pitches, might have a chance of a win or two in New Zealand, but that'll be their lot quarter finals if they're lucky.

What odds on India now??

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

If this was the football World Cup, the media would be saying that the English campaign to win the cup is back on track.

Sky are treating Scotland as a foreign country and England the home nation.

Tough times don't last. Tough people do.

The times are not great but there are too many crap teams, it's taking an age to get to the business end of the tournament

Why don't they play two or three games a day and get on with it?

Doesn't it go on until the end of March?

I can understand the ICC wanting to promote/develop the game in the minor countries, and I have no problem including them. They could expand the competition further by having 16 teams, but split them into 4 groups, with the top 2 going into the QF. The bottom 2 team in each group can go into a minor competition, similar to the rugby 7s. We’d get to the meaningful games a lot quicker then, and provide a meaningful competition to the minor countries.

Even in the existing format, why it’s spread out so log is baffling. NZ played their first 3 group games in 1 week - as they would in a ODI series, so no problem there, but then play the next 3 games spread over 3 weeks. This is cricket not rugby, they can play a game every 3-4 days, no problem.

It builds the 'tension'. Someone on this thread said it ends in March. Is that Marck 2016 by any chance? I quite like cricket and enjoy having TMS on, but I can't get into this tournament at all.

Well that schedule is just crazy, 1 game pw for 3 weeks. I Agree that they should be splitting the also rans into a lesser competition

Tournament should be ten teams, max. England, Aus, Windies, NZ, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and a qualifying tournament to get three more from Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and the associate countries.

Nah his 150 was 64 balls but overall he was 66

Incredible stuff to watch - some of the most brutal hitting I have ever seen

Spare a thought for Holder his figures went from

5-2-9-1 To
7-2-29-1 To
10-2-108-1

64 hit off his last 2 overs

De Villiers isn't human.

Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.
