We are all peasants serving the Queen. It does not matter who is in charge, they will have same agenda. Russell Brand and others could be right, is it worth voting?. I personally can only see David Cameron in charge again, they are doing their best not to expose him to much in the media. I would like Cameron to have a ding dong with Farage like Clegg vs Farage, just for pure entertainment.

Do you think Farage sees Cameron as the enemy or Milliband?

Farage knows no way Labour wil want to do any deal with them - though if it means power, Labour's principles ( whatever they are today ) will go out the window.

It's therefore more in his best interest to rip Milliband to pieces; to pick up anti-Labour voters. The best chance Farage has of any deal is with the Tories - so during any televised debates I'd expect Farage to highlight the differences without trying to cause Camaron any severe damage whilst mauling Milliband.

UKIP will get between 10-15% of the vote and less than five seats. They won't have anywhere near enough influence to do too much of a deal with anyone.

The real impact they will enjoy won't be summed up by the amount of seats they win at Westminster, rather the way they will shift the entire political discourse rightward as the old gang rush to steal their thunder.

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

That will only happen if the system is changed so that UKIP's 10-15% of votes translates into 10-15% of seats. Until then they'll be a fringe nationalist almost-irrelevance in Westminster terms like Plaid and, until recently, the SNP.

The political make up of the 18 NI seats will be of far more interest to the Tories. They'd much rather have to rely on DUP/UUP votes than to sully their shoes by courting Farage and his lunatic fringe ilk.

Who are the real lunatics? It's an interesting line of thought when you consider that there were plenty of old gang politicians pressing for intervention in Syria while Farage was at times something of a lone voice in wanting nothing to do with it.

...and I'm no Kipper.

It was a figure of speech. It will of course depend entirely on your perspective.

Well in our democratic system the people decide on who gets elected - and thats all part of the deal i guess. Since you asked - the worst possible outcome for wales is a Tory/ukip coalition. That idiot Clegg wil do anything for power so we could see Tory/ukip/libdem coalition (plus ulster unionists?) as an axis of evil ....as somebody famous once said..... Anything else is a bit less of a disaster for wales. A pro Europe progressive alliance is how some might describe that alternative.... ?

To say it's going to be interesting is such an understatement.

Let's say the SNP get 40 seats and prevent Labour from being the largest party (which seems a reasonable bet). The Tories won't get more than 280 (they only had 307 last time and they'll definitely lose a good number). I don't believe the Lib Dems would join them again and, even if they did they won't retain enough seats to make a majority this time round anyway Maybe 30 if their lucky. So, the Tories may look to UKIP who won't have more than 10, the NI Unionists with the same 8 then ......... What ? That'll be about 300.

Where is their majority going to come from ?

It'll be a fantastic clusterf*ck. And probably a second election in the autumn.

The libs are going to get wiped out because of the Cleggover effect and tuition fees. it's ironic seeing as Dai Tw@t and Gideon Tw@t are going round claiming credit for the tax threshold increase that they'd never have gone near without the Libs.

We are probably going to get a proportional representation result without PR. It'll be a Lab/SNP alliance that will win the day, so Salmond will be pulling all the strings behind the scenes to prop up MilliBalls. More money for the Jocks, bad news for Wales.

I certainly don't want the Tories in again but to have the leader of the party with the SECOND largest number of MP's as the PM, propped up by the SNP would cause major problems, even more than the Tories trying to run a minority government.

The LibDems could conceivably drop to around 10% of the vote but they'd still retain around 25-30 of their seats. Ukip could get significantly more votes than the LibDems and get about one tenth of their number of seats. God bless first past the post. And British "democracy ".

You can say that again. I don't really understand the mechanics (as I hate them all) but our inherently racist demographic will probably mean UKIP get many more multiples of votes than a joke party should. Almost like making the BNP legitimate because the leader is less overtly insane.
