Not just Wales though. Much of the north of parts of the midlands are treated like nonentities by Westminster and lets face it much of south east residents

I'm actually living in the north west myself and I agree, the north almost needs its own version of snp/plaid.
If Plaid is for Wales ,by definition ,why is it Welsh voters do not vote for them in any numbers apart form the heart lands of the language.. In Swansea and the old industrial towns I can never ever remember any support worthy of the name for them
You're right.
But isn't it strange that the majority of voters in Swansea are still voting for Labour while at the same time it seems every man and his dog in Swansea criticize Labour in the assembly for the way they ignore the rest of Wales and concentrate most of the investment in Cardiff.
The question I regularly ask myself is what will it take for that to change. I think the only answer is that we have to wait for the generation who say 'i'll be a Labour voter till the day I die' to die.

It's the lesser of two evils, simple as that. Hence the need for a real socialist party to fill the vacuum which actually has mass appeal to voters EVERYWHERE
Each time I go to Bedd - au........................
I'd consider voting Plaid if I still lived in Wales, but the problem I have with them (and the Greens) is that they seem to have moved on from standing on one specific issue (i.e. Welsh Nationalism or environmental issues) to become super-socialists positioned far to the left of Labour.
I am all for greater Welsh self-government and much greener policies, but I simply can't vote for any party that is only an inch away from soviet-style communism! The one thing I will say in Plaid's favour is that they are nowhere near as bonkers as the Greens.

I am a left wing Labour voter but I think the Cardiff Centric Complacent Caravan and his crew need a monumental kick up the ass. It is Ed for me nationally to get rid of the Tories and the lovely Leanne for WAG. The great disappointment for me is none of the Welsh parties mention the huge investment in transport infrastructure that is needed all over Wales (apart from the SE of the principality). How on earth can we have job investment across Wales if nobody can easily get to most of the country?

Unless, of course, you factor in dipso driving Bethan Jenkins and her criticisms of Gerry Adams for not being hardline enough or her Kommissar, Comrade Wood, talking of the importance of Europe while cheerleading our culture's greatest enemy.
Bonkers doesn't begin to cover it, Skip.

I agree - a modern north-south dual lane road is already 50 years late. Not to mention Aberystwyth taking 2 hours from swansea.
Already pencilled in for my new Ministry of Bleeding Hearts and Sucker for a Sob Story.
Swish office, good health and pension plan. Stick with me kiddo, we'll point the way to the stars!
To be honest, I'd probably just emigrate to somewhere, anywhere, that doesn't have you in charge. I've always liked Portrush but I fear that would be in your clutches.

I've already seen the plans for the statue of me to be erected at the harbour entrance, Clase.
Lovely thing, "our friend and protector in a time of storm."

No wonder Wales is seen as bring backward as it seems pointless even having a vote .its little different to the one party nirvana of dear user, much loved by our readers.
Btw, Leanne your preaching Wales poverty is negative to its future.
Plans for the North/South artery were first published in 1933!
When I form my Grand Coalition of National Unity I'll task you with its implementation, if you play your cards right...
1933?? Was it that obvious that it was needed then? It amazes me that the talk in England is constantly about transport infrastructure and yet it gets no political consideration whatsoever here. It does not wash saying that Wales is too small to have such investment. It is happening all over Europe. I use Gran Canaria as an example. It is the third of the size of Wales yet has a larger motorway network. Development continues with tunnelling works aplenty in the south. Even at the height of their tourist influx it remains a smaller population then Wales. Complacency rules here however and the only consideration seems to be in improving the SE network which already is comfortably the best in Wales. I honestly don't think the twin tunnel issue is any worse than any other rush hour scenario in the UK. We are happily preparing to throw one billion at it however prior to a further 4 billion for the Cardiff metro. Then there are the cable cars over Cardiff Bay........ You could not make it up.

I've never bothered to vote before because, not being massively into politics I always saw it as a two horse race, (which I do know that it still is effectively), and I couldn't be bothered to make the effort for either of them. The televised debates opened my eyes to PC and they will be getting my vote this year. In the hope that Labour will get in and they will be pushed further to the left by the women.

Further to the left? I suppose that sort of purblind absolutism has its attractons for those with their gaze rooted to the gutter. There does seem to be a lot of you popping up now, like some expanding army of carpet fitters inching along on their knees.
Perhaps you could all have one gigantic begging bowl and spread the weight out between you as you shuffle along intoning the monotonous red mantra: "It's somebody else's fault, It's somebody else's fault..."
Straighten up, Jim. Back away from the abyss!
