Had one of these for two weeks and am gobsmacked by its capabilities. i want to be fully prepared for the football season though, and just wondering what i need to watch the swans on. I don't mind paying for this. Any advice from those that are experienced with Kodi would be great.Thanks |  |

I downloaded Wookie yesterday which comes with a host of add ons. Very easy to do no computer needed. In fact I found a way to download Kodi on to any android without using a computer using the ES app. Easy too. [Post edited 2 Jan 2016 11:22]

I was toying with the idea of getting wookie yesterday as there is a handy EPG in there somewhere.
Thanks for the heads up about Zeus though. That's the thing with open source though, once a developer stops working on something it lags behind and ultimately becomes deprecated.
Once you get the repos you want though it's pretty much plain sailing. |  |

Techie question (odd that I ask as I am a developer - not an android one btw).
I run Kodi on my MacBook and would like to connect it to my TV to stream from my mac to the big screen. What are my best options?

Just found it. A £5 thunderbolt to HDMI adaptor lead and then into system preferences to set up! [Post edited 2 Jan 2016 12:49]

If your tv has a screen mirroring function you might be able to just mirror from your mac? I can do it laptop pc to samsung telly. |  |

Yeah just connect it up and in system preferences select mirror and set audio to HDMI output from internal speakers.

Ah gotcha! Yeah mac needs the external mini display to HDMI lead which connects via thunderbolt port. Good thing really as thunderbolt gives very good output display and fast too. | |
