Who said they are being complicit? They certainly aren't questioning over it - then again nor are Corbyn's opponents. Burnham has shown himself to have zero backbone in particular.

Only cage rattled is yours. Assuming good faith and Corbyn isn't himself anti-semitic, he has a number of follower - some with direct links to him - who have made anti-semitic remarks. At best that shows some questionable judgements on Corbyn's part. You may believe that's not relevant whatsoever, but you'd be wrong.

Corbyn's mistake is he's not addressed any of this. Some of the unwarranted sexist abuse at Kendall and Cooper has gone on with nary an eyebrow raised. Should Corbyn win and should Britain get dragged into any conflict, the "Every dead British soldier is a victory" comments will be raised again. Corbyn hasn't nipped any of this in the bud which is why he's an electoral liability for Labour.

Can you please define what you regard as "Anti-semitic"?

As I pointed out pages ago, one guy supporting Corbyn pretty heavily is a supposed CCFC fan; used to post incendiary anti-Israel posts ( carefully not referring to Jews naturally ). One link he used to back his argument was on, errm, Stormfront.

Criticism of Israel is perfectly valid. No problem with that. When people conflate "Jews" with "Israelis", there's an issue.

Come off it mush. There are many reasons why Corbyn will be painted as an electoral liability for Labour. He's a socialist for a start, as the reaction has shown that's anathema these days even to most in the upper echelons of Labour itself let alone the wider media and electorate. Trumped up behind the hand whisperings of anti-semitism and misogyny aren't needed and simply detract from the very real effects of those two curses on society. As a Tory you and the likes of Mensch should be talking Corbyn up not desperately trying to discredit him on flakey grounds. He's guaranteeing another Tory victory in 2020, remember. Some of the Tory reaction to Corbyn's potential Labour leadership is bizarre.

Cage very much unrattled.

I would have thought that the electorate would be more concerned about things like the NHS and the quality of care for the elderly but who knows they may be more interested in international affairs these days.

Trumped up? So when Corbyn has a parliamentary guest who celebrates the death of British troops, and refers to "hoax" gas chambers you don't think there's just a slight issue there? You claim the abuse on social media aimed at Kendall and Cooper ( c**t, bitch et al ) regularly being used is "trumped up"? I presume you don't find that acceptable, you seem decent enough.

You're saying anybody who votes Tory shouldn't say a word about that from an opportunistic base? Just ... wow.

And whilst Corbyn would guarantee a Tory victory ( as will the other three - non of whom are inspiring in the slightest ), the Tories need a strong opposition; to act as a semblance of a check and balance, to avoid complacency. Good governments need strong opposition.

It's more calling into question Corbyn's judgement, decision making than worrying about international affairs tbh.

He is, on here, beyond criticism, hence the many defenders of the man who ll be just the labour man, the true working class champion the poor , young and vulnerable are wanting. Witness the great unwashed queuing up to see the great man; its sickening.

For those like Clasie, Loh, Winston, Warwick,Wayne, probably apeshit and hump- those who are "middle class" having done ok in life, well we re going to get hammered aint we.I ve seen figures of £2500 extra per annum to fund Jez s plans of Renationalisation, Utilities take back and printing money .

Greece voting in a tie less cretin too using "working people" as a mantra to implement his ideology; it kinda failed. It would here.

WHY are so many Labour people so terrified about him winning -and he will-. Pretty obvious. Still,Cam will have to front up and stop being so gutless as Jez will destroy him- and our country.

Tom Watson in 2007 called for the position of deputy leader to be scrapped.

Le plus ca change...

OMG!! DID HE?!?!?!?!

I have obviously wasted my second preference vote for Labour's deputy leader because he said he wanted to scrap the post 8 years ago.

WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!? DAMN YOU WATSON!!!

But of course if you actually look at the context of why he was calling for the position to be scrapped in 2007, rather than just nod along at Guido Fawkes superficially 'highlighting the hypocrisy' or whatever he's meant to be doing (I've noticed he's backing TW for deputy), then you would see that the reasons he gave were specific to that deputy leadership election at that particular time and don't affect his current candidacy for deputy leader in any way.

It is a term that refers to a region of the middle East where people of all faiths were discriminated against... Which has evolved into a term used solely to describe discriminatory behaviour towards those of Jewish descent.

Just wondering how long this thread will last.

Seems its a pretty hot one proving my point about Jez rekindling the passion of old time socialist passion.

One poster was commenting on having lived through Blairism,Brownism and reckons Corbynism would be worth a try.

Ive lived through McMillandism,Edenism,Wilsonism,Callaghanism,Heathism and Wilsonism was by far the worst where a venal but clever lying prick screwed all before him, including his own party. Heath in contrast didn't have the intellect or intelligence nor the outright balls to do what Wilson did.

Guilt by association ?, these people/groups that label without foundation are an embarrassment and not only an embarrassment but a danger to our country, its a fear for some they will put a foreign power before this country push come to shove.

These people that label others with no concrete evidence are often the real racists and bigots who think they are chosen, are superior and are higher up some perceived pecking order than others, they want to dictate the terms of free speech, these people are dangerous to our 'British' values and Welsh values of equality and fairplay.

Wrong Tom, very wrong.

He could very well.

He ll certainly set the poor valley regions alight as he will the red hotbeds of Liverpool,Newcastle and he ll get the scots back too with his anti rich/bank/America/Israel/trident views.

He s a real danger . MOST CANT SEE IT; nearly always the British electorate ,as an entity , recoils against this stuff as the majority in this country want to live their lives without nanny state control.

Finally, Diane Abbott as a big supporter of JEZ will be made a cabinet minister possibly Home Secretary or Defence Secretary. Nothing is impossible.

It could happen brother.

The Islington glitterati, the Hackney Hawks and the celebrity patronising pr1icks that feed off Corbyn really could send this fella all the way.

Its a possibility that concerns decent Labour minded voters whom Cornyn does not represent no matter how much he says he does.

BY THE WAY, its not ok to hammer Israel. Its the only democracy in the middle east, like it or not ,which is why its so hated by many.

Be careful though tommy.

Its been tried before in many countries and offering a new dawn has to be paid for.

Im no economist but Jez plans are unproven pie in the sky tripe , which will kill our kids future. He talks well though, dresses like a tramp and has a dishevelled appearance that will, sadly, have some seeing him a s "one of us". He aint.

People are pisssed off? Everyone gets so. I was last week seeing the disgrace that is now Kingsway in Swansea or rather I should say traumatised and sick to the stomach to see a glorious thoroughfare in this state and worse to come with that Oceana place. St Helens Rd also a low grade shambles.

Yep, I m still pisssed off and its nowt to do with Cameron.

The first Corbyn cabinet:

PM - Jezzza. Obviously.
Chancellor of the Exchequer - Dennis Skinner
Home Secretary (with special responsibility for race relations) - Diane Abbot
Foreign Secretary (with a remit to sort out the Middle East once and for all - Lord Abu Qatada of Walthamstow (newly raised to the peerage).
Justice Secretary - Andy Burnham as a sop to the "mainstream" of the party.
Defence Secretary - George Galloway after being parachuted into a safe seat.
Energy and Cimate Change Secretary - Lord Scargill of West Riding (again newly raised to the peerage).
Health -Lord (John) Prescott.
Work and Pensions - Eric Heffer (newly raised from the grave. Cos Jezza can do that).
Transport - Lord Degsy Hatton of Goodison.
Wales - Baron Kinnock. We all know he's a leftie at heart.

Minor positions still to be decided. Suggestions welcome.
