But they ain't running the show the reds have an iron grip fronted by the very real 'lovely' Leanne.

That would be the reason UKIP polled more in Wales than the lovely one.

He's not saying anything different now than he did thirty, forty years ago, Cotts; albeit toned down a touch. If Corbyn is able to illicit that sort of a response from Labourites then it's a pretty damning indictment on the quality of the other leadership contenders.

Timing is everything, if the leadership race was 12 months ago I've no doubt that Corbyn would have less support than Liz Kendall currently does.

So what are you saying? Socialism is an idea thats time has come? If this were 1929 then you'd have a strong case, Cotts. It's not though. Whatever internal upheavals are convulsing The Labour Party barely register with the nation at large.

It's as I said about 20 pages ago, there's a wave of anti-austerity and anti-establishment feeling sweeping right across the western world: Syriza; Podemos; UKIP; SNP; Bernie Sanders etc. and JC is appealing to both of those camps.

Certain recent events have helped cement his popularity as well, the welfare bill vote and humiliation of Greece being two prime examples.

He must have a house full of awards, not difficult for a Welsh 'nationalist' mp up against English mps in that regard is it.
Seems like Mr Price went to German, Welsh and American universities, I wonder if that gives an individual a more rounded view than just going to an English university for example........what do you think Lisa ?

I think he's obviously a bright guy. He studied at Cardiff University (the German thing was a year out wasn't it as part of his Cardiff Course) and has of course recently been at Harvard as a mature student in their political school.

It certainly makes him more rounded than those who went two miles up the road to their most local college in my view - an accusation I have previously levelled at Leanne Wood.

In terms of just going to an English University - I guess it depends on which one and what people have done in addition to that? I am always slightly concerned by the career politicians (which are prevalent, sadly, in every party - Corbyn is another one). I would prefer politicians to have a more rounded life view in general, and have lived at least part of their lives outside the political bubble (I include lobbyists, pressure groups, union officials etc as part of that).

I am quite happy with the education I received at an English University if that's what you were asking.

Socialism's time has come? What a staggering statement. Weren't you around in 1989 to see the desperation and relief, the exhilaration and sheer unbounded joy of the miserable downtrodden masses that broke down the Berlin Wall and shook off the yoke of socialism? It was one of the seminal moments in the 20th century and will stay with me for ever. Socialism is the most bankrupted credo ever - it's been tried and found wanting. It doesn't work. As the old saying goes, the trouble with socialism is you end up running out of other people's money. Corbyn would turn this country into Zimbabwe. Luckily he hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting the opportunity to try. The British people have got more sense, as they have just demonstrated with Ed Miliband. The Labour Party seems not to have noticed.

I'm no expert, but I'm fairly sure there's a few ideological and practical differences between Corbyn's brand of socialism and the communist rule of Soviet Russia.

Just saying.

And Im saying that Corbyn clearly looks more to old style Russian State Control than the free market economy of the west.

Its a given that people of his ilk make USA to be demonic when its far from the case.

Corbyn has never missed an opportunity to rip into America which seems to be the instigator of world strife.

Its a fair assumption to make.

Corbyn is about State Control, Soviet system was just so. Practically, Communism meant the leaders had fortunate, comfortable lives and had the trappings of capitalism whilst denying basic human rights of movement and freedom of expression.

If Corbyn is elected- and he will- he will either kill his party stone dead or he will lighten up his policies to assume greater personal power. A very dangerous man and we really could be heading for trouble.

Bankrupted? In these times of worldwide austerity and banks gone bust that statement has a ridiculously wonderful irony . It was Lenin's fault all along then?
By the way that was communism not socialism. The two are world's apart

Well, no they are not.

Common ownership was a staple of Communism as it is of Labour; it was until Harold Wilson realised it wasn't that popular country wide.

State Control of Banks was a Benn mantra . Our Banking system in the hands of politicians? Nah, think about it.

If banks were nationalised here there would be Armageddon and the FTSE would crumble smashing Pension Funds which affect us all.

Like the Armageddon a few years ago when the banks suddenly realised that no one could pay back all the money the banks had been encouraged to lend irresponsibly and stopped lending anything, leading to the economies of the developed world going backwards at a rate of knots, the FTSE crumbling and pension funds being smashed? Or was that "socialism/communism"'s fault as well? Maybe the devil incarnate Corbyn was behind it all, pulling the strings from his Islington retreat, cackling all the time at dead American British soldiers. Mwahahahaha, said he.

Clearly but it won't change. Individualism won, collectivism lost. I just find Perch's continuing meltdown at the prospect of a bloke he hates being elected to lead a party he's never going to vote for highly amusing. Especially as it's cloaked in the language of a Cold War that ended with a whimper 30 years ago. He puts me in mind of those Japanese soldiers you used to hear about, reappearing decades after the war they thought they were still fighting ended. If you're a leftie you must love communism, if you dare to point out that Israel isn't always blameless you must hate Jews. If you're a Labour member who fancies voting for Corbyn you must be a Jew-hating, IRA loving, ISIS loving, British and American soldier hating, Stalin loving Commie scum.

Simple minded nonsense.
