Ashes 3rd test 12:01 - Jul 29 with 1722 viewsshandyjack

Seems a strange decision by Clarke to put Aussies in to bat, thought with the hangover from last test and the way the conditions were it would have been ideal to bowl this morning. Great start for us though

Radio saying only once in the last 15 ashes tests has the team batting first lost, it was a no brainer build a big score, they are confident in bowling England out twice

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Well well well

Funny 'ol game...

Still wouldn't fancy chasing 150+ to win though.

Game on.

Wish those pikey Brummie c*nts would shut the f*ck up...

Lyth falls short again, going for a ball he had no reason to.

Needs replacing for the next test. I honestly thought he would have been dropped for this one!

As I type, Bell goes for 53.

If this was a championship game points would be deducted

Cracking day, great day for England. Long way to go in this game but at least England's players are showing that they have a bit more mental strength after the Lord's debacle than most of their pussy fans who wrote them off as no-hopers.

That little spell where Root and Bell were whacking fours for fun was a good watch.

He's spent a lot of time struggling for form lately but Bell is still by far my favourite batsman to watch when he's in good nick.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Not much competition. Shit shot though - needs to learn how to play a five day test match.

Does anyone have a link to the cook dismissal?

Reading the comments on the BBC live page when England are playing is always eye-opening. There seems to be more hormonal and irrational man-children watching cricket than football. England are frequently either the best team in the world or the very worst. Even Glen McGrath noted this about England cricket fans the other day.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

Isn't it nice to hear the insufferably smug prick Warne sounding so downbeat. Cock. They should stick him and Ponting on commentary together for the death throes.
