On a scale of 0 - 10, with 10 being so embarrassed you'd be hiding under the quilt.

This is definitely a 0 on the embarrassment scale.

The only thing embarrasing is that a Welsh newspaper wrote this rubbish.
Explanations to the meaning of the words are written below the article.
Remember Welsh is the oldest language, so the person who changed Fflint to Flint is the one you should be laughing at.
Lots of words in lots of languages don't translate well, for shame Western fail for laughing at our own language!

A lot of welsh words and place names have been around at least a thousand years before the English language came along about 800 years or so ago.

Having said that welsh is becoming more and more Anglicised as time goes on as are most languages. A lot of traditional welsh words are no longer used in day to day conversations but their English counterparts are spoken instead.

The English are obsessed with constantly inventing nouns and the person who's responsible for giving these a welsh version doesn't seem to have much imagination.

Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.

Welsh is a poetic language where the words applied often hint at the meaning or description of the object.

Its rather ironic that those ridiculing it here are using a language (as am I) whose literal meaning is often lost through hundreds of years of bastardizing the original Greek, French, or Latin original.

Watching the Welsh news this evening they were interviewing a resident of Patagonia who spoke in fluent Welsh, they had English sub titles so that the people of Wales could understand him.

Slightly ironic I thought.

Luckily the growth in welsh medium education means the language can have a future alongside the english language. Most other countries manage it pretty well.

I'm surprised nobody's brought up the absolute lethal danger of Welsh road signs. It's a disaster waiting to happen for all of us.

My mate, who is very thick but doesn't actually exist, took his Jac Lifts Dirt for a drunken spin around Penclawdd (Eng. Penclawdd) late last Saturday night. Everything was going fine until he saw SLOW ARAF written on the road. Poor f*cker was so confused he drove it right through a f*cking pub!

When are these cave dwellers going to end this madness!
