The first ever recipient of a Planet Swans Lifetime Achievement Award.
There was a Welsh bar in New York that was recently in the news (said to be the only Welsh bar in NY), its seemingly called after a weapon the Welsh were experts in using to kill their enemies. Rugby jerseys hanging up, Prem footie matches on the box, chips for grub etc. They were apparently done by the American authorities for a job advert that apparently was seen as racist, apparently they wanted people with a knowledge of British and Welsh culture.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.
Looking at their website they seem to do real ale and British beers, even Tomos Watkin beer for St Davids day was available, shepherds pie, fish and chips etc. For the soul I think there is a Welsh chapel still going in the big apple also, the Welsh think they legally own NYC but that is another story.

this is the welsh bar but it's in south brooklyn. personally you couldn't pay me enough to go into midtown manhattan to watch a swans game. but whatever, i guess it's a good place to meet lots of footy enthusiasts.

Per the NYC Swans Facebook page, apparently they go to a soccer bar called Legend's on W 33rd.
That's correct. West 33rd just off 5th Av and almost within a stones throw of the Empire State Building. It's wall to wall sport at any time of the day. I've had a few Super Sunday's in there.

The Irish are not Welsh, the Irish have had trouble with Germanic hordes but so have lots of others, if the Irish don't like the fact that the Welsh have a claim on large parts of America and are the rightful owners of England then that's tough on the Irish, as well as the Americans and English.
