It is very sad and ultimately funny. Cut from the same cloth as many old fashioned British or Jewish comedies.

Aye, that sums it up perfectly I think. Not sure about the Jewish bit as I'm not sure I've willingly known and watched such a show but I'm sure there is.I've only just started watching it and upto series 3.The 2 episodes in Afghanistan were TV Gold I thought.

I expected more on here to have seen him and the show or maybe they have and think he's shite.

I said Jewish because he has that kind of miserable, neurotic way about him, sort of like Woody Allen and British because of the old fashioned stuff like Tony Hancock - black comedy kind of thing. Always rooting for him but ultimately a loser and usually of his own making.

I've enjoyed his stand ups but not watched the tv show.

Even when you know, you never know?
