I watched Unfriended last night, has a bit of a great set up for horror, but wasn't all that scary. Though I really loved the way they told the story through social networking. quite an original basis for a film, in a world where horror feels so formulaic now. |  |

Finally got round to watching Selma this week. Good film and very well acted. The British actor who was Martin Luther King was excellent ( I think his name is David Oyelowo) as was Tom Wilkinson as LBJ and Tim Roth as Govermor Wallace.

It wasn't great, I agree... but the presentation (where we learned most of the important things by reading the girl's computer screen instead from the dialog informing us (which tends to be the way forward for most films) was a really neat bit and made me a little more lenient on exactly what we were getting,/
Honestly reading the premise, I thought it was going to be really scary... but not sure how the managed to not be scary at all... | |

Also saw this last night"..fell asleep through a good chunk of it. Woke up to see him and his brother hiding in the uterus of an elephant while elephant intercourse took place. Very graphic and not funny...I dread to think what kids will make of it when they watch it in a few weeks time.
So Borat was funny this I don't think is in the same league but will appeal to young people and persons of simple taste in humour.

"American werewolf in London" last night. Watched the Slaughtered Lamb bit at the start. Fell asleep and woke up in time to see the hilariously bad animal tear through Leicester Square before being shot at the end. So I saw the best bits.
Saw the new Star Wars at an old fashioned style Cinema this week too. Great place to watch a film.

Saw the new Star Wars at an old fashioned style Cinema this week too. Great place to watch a film.
