This is great news for Oliver, but spare a thought for our Acadamy Teams.
They have recently lost King and Oliver plus quite a few others so the under 21s will be relying on the rest of their team to score goals.
They will probably filch some of the best under 18s (who won today) and they in turn will probaly do the same to the under 15/16s.

I like the idea of a bit of filching.

You're missing the point. If you can't see the good in McBurnie scoring a league hat trick (on his debut to boot) then I'm flabbergasted. Seriously.

I'm not disputing the benefit of loaning young players out for first team experience. I was pointing out that we don't seem to have given those players a chance in our first team when they come back.

Is this because they just aren't good enough, or the management don't want to be seen to drop an expensive signing to give a youngster a chance?

We threw in Ben Davies at a young age and he done ok.

More because we had to at the time, due to injuries.

I reckon if Eder or Gomis go long term injured, McBurnie will be re-called.

And if we're nearing the end of season and safe, i'd give him a go, why not.

Dyer and McBurnie would soon get us up the table. Especially if we kept Dyer on the bench; we'd be near the top.

I had a ook at the highlights last night and he's got a little way to go in his physicality before he gets a chance to dislodge the likes of Gomis.
Possibly one for a spot on the bench in the first round of the league cup I would say.

Towards the end of last season would have been an ideal time to give some of the youngsters a go. We didn't.

Well done Oliver. Outstanding performance - looks like we have bought a real prospect here. Be interesting to see how the club choose to develop him going forwards. Maybe get a run out at the Liberty if we can get safe with a couple of games to go ? Be great to see that.

Looks like we have no plans for him at present as he's been loan to County,if we flop again today we may have to recall him and give him his big chance in the first team.

Would your dog have the positional sense to get in those areas? Because that's a massive part of a strikers game.

Fair play to him, not many hit a hatrick on their debuts, especially the very short amount of time he had with that side, what was it, one day? Two at the most.

What's the chances we will be able to play him in FA Cup Saturday

It's a long time since our last appearance in third round the 1980's

Natural Strikers will always get in those positions, maybe he is one of those, hopefully he is, I'd say the closet we've come to that since Trunds is Jason Scotland and possibly Danny Graham, Bony was a scorer of goals good ones to, but I'm not sure if he's classed as a natural goal scorer though, probably not.
