I'd certainly put Three Cliffs above Rhossili, Tor Bay can be pretty special too.
Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 16:07 - Nov 28 with 1276 views | perchrockjack | Few photos of these beaches in the rain. Little point in having beaches of this beauty with shite weather. Stunning beaches in the Hebrides, also Northumberland but who really wants to swim in them

Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 16:22 - Nov 28 with 1254 views | perchrockjack | Britain has many beautiful beaches and most in the wettest parts of Britain. In the driest areas, Essex, Kent, there are utterly crap ones. Not fair is it. I love gower but no fun getting soaked to the skin Anglesey has some stunning ones ,best of which is llandwyn Island. I'm off before Liffey comes along

Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 16:28 - Nov 28 with 1239 views | perchrockjack | Each to his own. When lady p and I look for a break in the winter we always go city, often Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool mainly because of things to see and do . I enjoy the buzz of human behaviour and cultural /architectural magnificence rather than bleak vistas on a lonesome beach or hill. It's for this reason the Lake District ,to us, is utterly depressing .

Would you prefer a day out with your wife in moss side or a day out with your wife down the gower in the rain?

Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 16:48 - Nov 28 with 1208 views | perchrockjack | Now now. Defensive stuff. Let's start again shall we. Gower is beautiful and I was frolicking around on the beaches and moors before you were born. I love it. Liverpool beaches? Fookn off Andy is it. Look at the map. Moss side? Why not pick out a magnificent city centre with real vibe. It's why millions visit the CITY. Please don't tell me you re some sort of rambler cadet. Leeds is great too and Newcastle. When it's pissing down, it's nice to go someone . Really, you guys have to get those meloncholic bitter chips off those shoulders. Jesus h. The beacons are bleak as are the Pennines but really only marines or nutters would want to spend time there in the foul weather. Btw, we re surrounded by beaches here but only a complete cretin would swim in them because it's shallow and muddy. I did police charity swims for several years and actually came face to facd with all manner of small dead mammals.not pleasant . Enjoy your evening. We re off to the ballet

Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 16:56 - Nov 28 with 1195 views | jack247 | It wasn't really a thread about the best city centres or cultural breaks though. If you only have negative things to say about our beaches, why bother?
Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 16:58 - Nov 28 with 1193 views | perchrockjack | Fair enough. Gower is of course beautiful. Better now? Me neither, Bournemouth equalised. Nice beach there too

I much prefer them when the sun is shining......but of course the beauty of Gower coast can be admired and enjoyed in any weather, thankfully.

You never know Perch, in future someone may come up with the novel idea of inventing some kind of waterproof apparel so people can get prepared beforehand and enjoy walking in any kind of weather
| If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--forever. |

Rhosilli Beach one of the best in the world on 17:16 - Nov 28 with 1142 views | perchrockjack | I hear you knocking Tom, but you can't come in. Bony, the coast from Lisbon down to Cape St Vincent is wild ,vast, unspoilt and powder sand with crystal water. Fookn freezing though. Best beach for beauty and swimming, Praia doña ana Lagos ,or bordeira, carapateira.
