Leon Jeanne failed a drugs test for us. He provided a sample of tap water allegedly.
He wasn't banned from football however due to a technical balls up, no official supervised him on that test.
We fired him over it.
I'd be surprised if testing was anywhere near as rigorous as it needs to be. | |

I'm not sure if the incentive for widespread doping is there in top level football.
In most other sports, only the absolute elite, maybe the top 100 at most in each discipline earn the kind of money someone could retire on. Take tennis. Only the top players in the world can earn serious money. Most athletes rely on subsidy or sponsorship.
In football most players at the top levels of the best leagues can do it easily. The financial rewards are so great it's not worth the risk. You'll probably get a few cases here and there, but most players are more likely to get nabbed for recreational drug use IMO.

Tennis doesn't have thousands of kids pushed through academies systems every year. Most of those kids don't earn a good living at the end of it. | | | |
