Guido has delivered, and I for one am very grateful. We've perhaps been a bit lucky with some of our opponents, but we put away the Chelsea and Liverpool reserves with no problems.

That's the end of season lottery, important to have points in the bag before April.

Yes we're safe ! But someone will come along and say that if Sunderland and Norwich score 20 goals per game or if Mars and Jupiter are in alignment we will go down! Now let's go on build this club back up whether it is with American investment or not, we all have to get behind the club whatever direction they take. ,

Sunderland, Norwich, Mars, Jupiter are not the problem. But Newcastle is. What happens if they go to the FA and ask for us to receive a points deduction. Think about it.

Just because we shafted £12 million from them for ex-captain pointer doesn't mean they can demand a points deduction.

Yes and "Generalisations" are not. Please note that Cork was playing more attacking mid today and it worked well.

Well the comment was based on previous displays so wouldn't call it a generalisation. Before the game started it seemed a sensible comment I thought. You are right about Cork, one of his best games for us today and took his goal extremely well.

The Official Swansea City vs Liverpool FC Match Day Thread on 15:00 - May 1 with 2380 views | A_Fans_Dad | Some other observations. Sygi was not at the races today, he looked tired, slow and although he still worked hard it actually looked like hard work for him. Who decided to let Taylor take a free kick? After the defence let Benteke score a soft goal, Fab took control of his Penalty Area and we looked much better. The whole defense looked better for having Amat in it. Yet again depsite working hard Routs didn't generate much, but he & Montero both produced Yellows for their defenders. Yet again when Benteke scored Sygi was wrestling with him rather than attacking the ball. Ayew is back doing what he does best, but looked tired at the end. Poor Barrow did not get a look in, when his fresh legs were needed to counteract Klopp's Substitutions. ps forgot to mention Amat takes the ball forward well. [Post edited 1 May 2016 15:03]

Agree, apart from a few wayward passes and Ash's back pass, everybody did better today.

Agreed. But regardless of how he played today or plays for the rest of the season, Rangel is not our future anymore. Along with a few others too.
