Give Ayew a shot at the true striker role. We need to be aggressive at home against a Pool team that will be depleted due to the Europa semis, and Ayew can't be any worse than Gomis. I'd go with:

Oddly enough it was Monks refusal to play the two (Leon being left out in the cold) that got us into the mess we were in. Only when Curt brought Leon back did the recovery begin.
If you are saying never ever then I disagree. If you are saying currently with an ageing Leon struggling for fitness then you have a point.
We are down to the bare bones however with Fer out so there is not a lot of choice. Not sure Grimes or Fulton is the answer at the moment but if Leon continues to misfire then we have no choice. |  |
