I agree. I've been for a run up by the river today and onto the Wye valley walk which was lovely, but I'd love to be barefoot on Caswell, or running (not barefoot) the cliff path. Then a couple of beers in the pilot and my day would be complete. |  |

Definitely had a huge effect on the beaches. I remember Oxwich and Horton in particular looking a lot different 30 years ago.

It's lovely along the Thames. The path from Richmond up to Ham is beautiful as well.
Londons a good city in the summer don't get me wrong - all the parks, the river, the cafes and restaurants spilling onto the pavement everywhere.

The number of times I've been told about beautiful ice cream in London - Gelato Mio in Holland Park everyone raves about as an example.
But it's nowhere near as good. One of the greatest Saturday surprises I ever had is when I walked past Harrods one hot day a few years ago and they had a display of 'Best of British' in the window and they were temporarily selling Joes. Bloody bliss (even though the frozen isn't as good as the fresh - it's better than everything else). | | | |

Although I think Gower has far better beaches than Oxwich, the view from the marquee at Oxwich bay when the weather is playing ball is absolutely stunning.
I haven't been to a wedding there yet when the 'away' guests haven't been absolutely gobsmacked. People just don't expect scenery like that. | | | |
