I was in the Wimbledon end having a marvellous time. Having sat there in 2006 when Akinfenwa missed his penalty in a Play Off Final, he made up for it yesterday.

There was seven minutes injury time, mainly because their centre half launched himself at Akinfenwa's head, and landed awkwardly. He got away with no yellow card because he was stretchered off sucking oxygen. There was also a lot of people with cramp. Then, in injury time he found an extra two minutes without trying, and then there was the penalty and subsequent celebrations.

I'm beginning to like the new Wembley. :)

If you managed to sit there yesterday and also when Akinfenwa missed his penalty in 2006 then you were about 160 miles away from the Mill Stad... Where our play off game was played.

His persona has been recreated in recent years and gives him massive confidence to be a bit of a twa t.
I thought when he left us he was on his way out, fair play to him for finding his niche' and his level.

Exactly Darran.. he portrays himself as a former premier league player.. he's a league one and two journeyman.. if he wasn't built like a rugby tight head.. he wouldn't receive the adulation..

If we are looking for a big man up front there aren't many bigger than Bayo

The reason he's played for so many clubs is because fans are always crying out for big name signings and he's always had a bigger name than most.

His wrestling of the ball off Callum Kennedy on Monday soured it a little for me. They had all agreed that Callum would take any penalty as it was also his last game and he had lost his father in January. Akinfenwa just wanted to get more publicity to flog his BMO shirts.

Nevertheless, he is awesome with the kids after a game. No matter how much of a rush he is in to get away, he ensures anyone who wants a selfie or autograph, gets one. He will also stop for a chat. And he still loves the Swans. He calls my son "YJB", whenever he sees him at Kingsmeadow.

He's not great, but there is a good heart somewhere beneath that ego.
