RIP Carla Lane on 18:46 - Jun 2 with 1829 views | perchrockjack | I met Carla several times during filming of bread, as it was in our sub division.she was a lovely gentle if bonkers woman . The actors loved her. The river streets are now a far better place than they were and the immediate area now gentrified

RIP Carla Lane on 13:01 - Jun 3 with 1701 views | perchrockjack | As it happens, several films were filmed in south Liverpool and also the area around the Anglican Cathedral as the buildings are the nearest replica to that of the grandeur of the historical buildings . My sub division had to make sure the filming wasn't interrupted and the actors were left to do their job. Geoff Hughes ,I remember was an absolute hoot and not unlike the Eddie Yates character he played in Corrie, but he could really act . Anna Massey too was a lovely lady ,sadly now no longer with us. Things could be very dangerous in that part of the world but 30 years later ,I feel it was a seminal part of my life. Time for every purpose under heaven
