4.75 million...wonder if this affects our pursuit of JA?

To me, Joey is a different kettle of fish to Fer. But if they go for Joey as well can see someone else going.

Don't know Brynnie, could be Gylfi or both of them. Gylfi getting a lot of exposure on the box at the mo. Cynical old me thinks that these things may be done and dusted long before us mere mortals get wind of what's going on.

With regards to S'lands interest in Bafe, i'd offer them him for giacherini ( excuse the spelling), he's having a hell of a tournament with Italy

No chance of getting Giaccherini, he'll be heading back to Italy.

In what possible world could Marseille see Gomis as a perfect replacement for someone signing for Spurs for about £32m ?

Either a slow news day, or if any truth in it, perhaps they see Gomis as a cheap but known commodity while they trouser the majority of the youngster's transfer fee.

The South American is a wild card though, why would we want a midfielder.

The Britton one I made up in my own head when I heard Monk had the Leeds gig, together with Emnes and Rangel and...........

Surely 'stop gap' though rather than 'perfect replacement'?

Hope he goes to them (or anyone).

£32m pays for "potential"

On current ability Michy Batshuayi is no better than Gomis was when Bafe was last hanging around Ligue 1.

i have no doubt that gomis would score 15-20 goals for marseilles like he did every year for lyon, and cause mass hysteria on this message board every time he has a nice game.

it's a different standard of league, and he's a good player when he's confident.

i know many are of the opinion that he should be sold ASAP, but i think it should wait until there is an adequate replacement signed. can't let 3 strikers go without any coming in yet.

If we're seriously planning on spending ~£10M on a central midfielder and ~£20M on a striker

...then let's bring Allen and Bony back!

I think Wilf would be happy to half his wages and play every week and be loved by the fans. After all £2.5 million a year isn't exactly peanuts is it.

We shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush you know!

By all accounts we have offered a contract to Gaston Ramirez and are interested in some Brazilian called Adryan.

Poll: Are the owners doing enough for Swansea City

"battle for Swansea City ace"

Funny on multiple levels. Here's hoping it's true though.

Poll: Biggest signing so far in January? (just curious what Planet Swans thinks)

Adryan is a fifa legend.. If it's the one that signed for Leeds a few years ago?? Plays for Genoa I believe (off top of head may be wrong). Fifa legend means one thing.. Sh*t in real life

Edit: he actually went to Cagliari on loan before Leeds.. Still at Flamengo after a spell out on loan with Nantes last year. Probably will be a loan if anything by the looks of it.

So Bony would be happy to come back to us and take a 50% pay cut..

I don't think so somehow ..!!
