My daughter s partner is an AFO and right in the thick of it.
I am also in contact with former colleagues.
Trust me, police morale is at an all time low and the public is and will suffering.
I don't want pross to get too erect by reading this but I have several commendations hanging up on the wall for both crime detection/supervision and bravery.
Most of them ,these days, would have led to complaints and possible suspension. In my day, there was more latitude and ,though they were many cases of malpractice , the ordinary working copper put his neck on the line for the public , because he or she saw it as duty.
Sadly, the dedication to serving the public has been eroded and not least for stunts shown by SWP.
Finally, some of the finest officers I worked with were lesbian . Hard girls who stood up for themselves and had resilience . No legislation or home office interference needed
