Was a great trip... 1000's of us Swans fans were in and around the Irish bar in the Plaza de la Reina right next to the Valencia Cathedral where they claim to have the "Holy Grail".... Even Trunds turned up one night to sink a few.... On the night of the game I recall just how steep the stadium was/is. We were right up in the gods. But what a game and what a Night! Definately one that will stay with me for many years to Come!!!

No, we played a few more after that one, St Gallen, Kuban Krasnodar and Valencia at home for a start. The Valencia away game was in September 2013 and Laudrup didn't leave until February 2014 after the group games had finished.

Yes that really was us. I've often pondered about where we'd be now if we'd been able to continue playing like that and built on it. It may have had to be without ML and we'll never know if we could have continued to sign the players we did without his name as part of the attraction.

Yep pretty depressing looking at us now compared to how that team played. I don't think we could have carried on that way without ML or Manager with similar contacts and standing in the game to get such players to sign for us. Frankie may have that but it seems we are not prepared to use it or back it up financially in the transfer market. To achieve such levels we need a fantastic scouting system to support the manager. I don't think Huw looking for the odd bargain whilst saving cash is going to get us anywhere. I am sure Frankie will do his best with what he has got. If the football turns out to again be unadventurous and safety first I hope the fans don't get on his back and recognise where the blame lies.
