What do you consider 'wealthy'? 18:20 - Aug 27 with 2362 viewsBlameHuwJenkins

If somebody who earns £137,000 a year, lives in a £600,000 home and has a pension of £1,600,000 to look forward to upon retirement told you that they were not wealthy, how would you feel?

I would feel either that this person was lying to my face or that he is in fact so wealthy that he is completely out of touch regarding what the average person earns and has.

Compared to most, Corbyn is a wealthy man. Compared to some, he isn't. What he's not is some kind of working class hero.

He's done extraordinarily well for himself, in material terms, for someone with no formal education or obvious native ability.

And surely we should applaud him for that? It sounds like the sort of thing Margaret Thatcher would have approved of, for example.

It would seem we are. I live from month to month and have the happiest children imaginable. Feel very 'wealthy ' in that regard.

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--forever.

Has he done it himself though? Seems like people shoved him there for a laugh. Lucky bastard.

She did promote a sort of parasite stratum who neither produce or contribute but I'm not sure she can take the credit for Trots. They are an oriental excrescence, surely.

Corbyn is an absolute pauper compared to Cameron. Cameron is worth £38million, plus countless Swiss and offshore accounts. Obscene in fact.

Wealth is.

"A plentiful supply of a particular desirable thing"

Some would put this purely down to money. I would say if you are happy with your life you are wealthier than most, I am.

You only enjoy personal "monetary" wealth if you are healthy I think.
It's lousy being ill.
Imagine not being well enough to join in friends and family on simple occasions as well as special.

Of course leaving wealth behind after your days is obviously appreciated by those that receive it, but I'd rather distribute any wealth I accrued whilst I was alive so I could see people enjoy it.
