It is a boiling mess out there, and likely to get a lot worse.

Sadly, it's been going on for way too long in that region. Even though it'll never happen, I just wish all factions would draw a line in the sand and go their separate ways.

It's too deep rooted though.

Turkey should be stripped of NATO membership. They're bombing the Kurds and provoking Russia, throw in the farce of the staged coup and you end up with nutters running things there. They're more of an enemy than an ally

They're not provoking Russia, no doubt with Russia's blessing after their recent meetings.

I doubt Turkey would care if they were thrown from NATO, they will slip into another alliance quite quickly.

Turkey invades Syria“.  And without a doubt, that is precisely what is taking place.  The Syrian government denounced this move by Turkey as a “blatant breach to its sovereignty”, and the Russians are deeply alarmed.  The farther Turkish forces push into northern Syria, the more likely they will be to encounter Syrian or Russian forces, and one bad move could result in the outbreak of World War 3 in the Middle East.

That should have been kicked out of NATO after they invaded Cyprus in 1974. Just goes to show how hypocritical NATO is

Erdogan was just in Moscow only a couple of weeks ago, cosying up to Putin. Someone's backing him but the US is and Russia are condemning him . Maybe Saudi?
On the face of it though it just seems he's after the Kurds. Hope the Turks get a kicking for it anyway.
