Fernandes will find it difficult to get his place back
Llorente took his goal well
Cork makes too many mistakes
Borja looks a handful
We rely far to much on the old guard
FG delayed far to long in making the substitutions we were crying out for the outlet that Barrows pace provides
The scoreline flatters Man City

Pros are leon being back where he should be as I alluded to after Wednesdays match. Fernanadez having a rest is a good call presently. I thought his replacement did and admirable job.
Cons are after about 60 mins with us pressing as we were high up players were blowing out of their arses. I felt it was time for Barrow to come on to relieve the pressure as an out ball.

Start with Barrow gaffer.
Llorente needs to be braver and clinical, he seems to want the ball given to him on a plate, doesn't like lunging his legs out at a cross . Did well for his goal, hopefully him and Baston will net loads!
It was an enjoyable match and at 1-1 we were in with a shout. Their class and experience showed in the 2nd half, but we were far more up for it. Special mention for Fer and van de Hoorn, they showed presence and composure, and fight! Plus Leon still has skill. |  | | |

Night and day compared to Southampton. We played on the front foot and looked a threat going forward in the first half. Had possession with intent. Naughton is a better left back than Taylor despite being right footed. Van der hoorn has to play ahead of Fernandez. Llorente played well too. Referee was terrible. Franco delayed subs too long. Cork and Siggy not great today. Overall positive day though - green shoots of recovery are there. | | | |
